Fund the wallet from any chain
Money in the AI wallet comes first, and it is rarely USDC on this chain to begin with. Say what you
hold and where; Claude asks the deposit service for a route, tells you what will arrive and what
the conversion costs, sends it when you say so, and watches it land. The tools are the
aioum_deposit_* family; the two that spend or sign say so in their descriptions.
Where the money goes
Every AI wallet has a deposit address on this network. It is known before anything is sent to it, it only knows how to forward, and anyone may trigger the forwarding: the conversion fee the quote shows goes to the network treasury, the rest to your AI wallet.
You: "Where do I send funds for my AI wallet?"
Claude calls aioum_deposit_address with {} (or {"wallet": "0x…"} for another wallet).
You see: the AI wallet, the deposit address, the chain, the fee in basis points, whether
the forwarder is deployed yet (the first sweep deploys it; funds that arrive earlier wait safely),
and the service's mode: route where the route provider delivers, direct elsewhere. On the
local development network, and on any chain the provider does not deliver to, the answer ends with
the one sentence "Routes from other chains deliver to Base; on this network send USDC to your
deposit address and it is swept to your AI wallet", and aioum_deposit_chains,
aioum_deposit_tokens and aioum_deposit_quote fail with 501 and the same sentence: the two
sections after the next one are the whole story there.
Asking for a quote
You: "I have 0.25 ETH on Ethereum. What would that give me here?"
Claude calls aioum_deposit_chains to find Ethereum's id, aioum_deposit_tokens with
{"chain": 1, "q": "eth"} if it needs the asset's address and decimals, then
aioum_deposit_quote with {"chain": 1, "token": "native", "amount": "0.25"}.
You see: what you send, what arrives as USDC and the least that can arrive, the fee in basis points and in USDC, what you are credited, the route the provider chose and how many seconds it takes. Amounts are in the asset's own units; Claude converts to base units from the token's decimals. A quote is good for about a minute.
Sending
You: "Do it."
Claude calls aioum_deposit_send with the same inputs as the quote. This tool signs with
the wallet in AIOUM_PRIVATE_KEY on the source chain and spends the asset, so Claude confirms
before calling it.
You see: the approval transaction (for a token, never for the native asset), the route
transaction's hash on the source chain, the ledger id and the status pending.
Watching it arrive
You: "Has it landed?"
Claude calls aioum_deposit_status with {"id": "dep_…"}, or aioum_deposit_list for
every deposit of the wallet.
You see: the status moving pending → arrived → credited (or failed with the route's
reason), what was expected and what was credited, the fee, and the sweep transaction's hash.
USDC sent straight to the deposit address
The path that works on every network, and the only one on the local development network: a plain USDC transfer or an exchange withdrawal to the deposit address is swept by the service's loop within a minute. To forward it now:
You: "I sent 100 USDC to my deposit address. Sweep it."
Claude calls aioum_deposit_sweep.
You see: "Credited 99.0 USDC to AI wallet 0x… (fee 1.0 USDC; deposit dep_…, sweep tx 0x…)", source
direct in the ledger; or "Nothing to sweep: nothing has arrived at the deposit address."
Paying by card
You: "I have no crypto. Can I pay by card?"
Claude calls aioum_deposit_card_partners, then aioum_deposit_card with
{"partner": "transak"} (the partner is needed only when more than one is configured).
You see: which partners the deposit service holds keys for (Coinbase Onramp, Transak, MoonPay,
Stripe), what each charges, and whether this network can take a card payment at all: partners
deliver USDC on Base only, so on the local development network the answer is "Card payments
deliver to Base; on the local network this button is disabled". Then the partner's link, single-use
and good for about five minutes, and the deposit that tracks it. You open the link and pay the
partner by card; Claude charges nothing. The USDC lands on your deposit address and is swept to
your AI wallet minus the fee; aioum_deposit_status follows it, source card.
Checking the balance
You: "What is in my wallet now?"
Claude calls aioum_deposit_list for the AI wallet's credits, and aioum_wallet for the
wallet behind your key and the runner's, which are separate from it.
You see: every deposit with what was credited, and beside it your own ZAI, USDC and gas.
